About the Curriculum
What do you mean by Family-Style Learning?
Harbor and Sprout is a curriculum that fits the needs of the whole family all at once. Rather than researching, purchasing, and incorporating different curriculum for every subject and every age, we have an all-in-one package for all of your children with all subjects included. We are all about simplifying, and Harbor and Sprout will allow you and your children to truly experience what it is to learn (together!).
How are these resources adaptable to fit multiple ages?
Each subject every month will be complete with ideas or different instruction sets for how to make material conducive to little ones or more advanced for older children. In this way, you will assign projects to different ages. For example, for a geography map activity, the 3 year old colors the map, the 8 year old labels the map, and the 12 year old does a report on a chosen country. Everyone does the same base activity with versatile guided applications!
What style is this curriculum?
Harbor and Sprout is an eclectic curriculum, inspired by our favorite aspects of many styles. There are elements that would be considered Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio, or Charlotte Mason, but nothing is especially catered to a set style. It is a free flowing curriculum that allows for fluidity and on-the-go learning, adaptable to each child’s learning needs. It can function beautifully as a stand-alone or as a supplement to additional curricula of choice. It’s the best of all worlds.
Is this a full curriculum or is it meant as a supplement?
Harbor and Sprout is comprehensive, cohesive, and designed to fit your needs as a full, robust curriculum. With the addition of books (we’ll provide the booklist!) and a structured math curriculum for older children, this curriculum will meet the needs of your children aged 3-12!
What are my pricing options?
The regular monthly subscription will be $15/month, and we have good news- we will be offering an introductory rate of $12/month for anyone who subscribes from now through July 23! Subjects will be broken down into weeklong increments with accompanying lesson plans and recommendations on how you may adapt the resources to fit different ages and learning styles. Yes! The automatic subscription option makes it easy to have your curriculum delivered to you consistently each month at a discount. If you decide it’s not a good fit, you can cancel at any time with no fees.
